Sesame Soy Dipping Sauce
This sesame soy dipping sauce is perfect for Southeast Asian dishes like vegetable summer rolls or spring rolls. If you’re not a big fan of fish sauce or are vegetarian this recipe is for you!
Sesame Soy Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp canola oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 green onion chopped
- 1/8 tsp hot pepper flakes
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- In small bowl or jar, combine all ingredients and blend thoroughly.
- Serve and enjoy.
- Store leftovers in refrigerator for up to 5 days.

During the testing phase of this recipe, I went through various versions, some heavier on the hot pepper flakes, some with garlic, some with no sesame seeds and so on. I ended up with the recipe above as a well rounded sauce that got the thumbs up from several taste testers at various roll your own summer roll feasts.
The green onions and sesame seeds make an attractive garnish on this sauce. Hope you enjoy it!
