Prairie Fruit Cookbook Available in Riding Mountain

Date posted: July 15, 2012

Strawberries, saskatoons, cherries, gooseberries and even crab apples are now available throughout the prairies.  It’s the time fruit lovers have been waiting for.

With all this fruit, the Prairie Fruit Cookbook ended up on McNally Robinson’s best seller list again for the week of July 8.  How exciting!

Those in and around Riding Mountain National Park this summer can pick up a copy of the Prairie Fruit Cookbook in Wasagaming at the Friends of Riding Mountain’s Nature Shop and at Poor Michael’s Bookshop in Onanole.

I’ll be spending part of the summer on the shores of Clear Lake  working as Camp Naturalist at an amazing family camp (it’s like kids’ camp except mom and dad get to come too) called Camp Wasaga.  We’ll be touring the Park and discovering the beauty and history of the Parkland area.

Where will you be enjoying the summer?
