I’ve been seeing a lot of mustaches around in honour and celebration of Movember. What a great way to raise awareness of men’s health issues and earn some money to support research for prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives. Suddenly November has a whole new look.
Did you know November is also Diabetes Awareness Month, Vegan Awareness Month and Aviation History Month?
Of course it is also the host of Remembrance Day and, if you’re in the US, Thanksgiving.
In other words, there’s a reason to celebrate just about every day. Have a look at the weird and wacky holidays throughout the year when you’re planning your next event. Maybe you can piggyback with one of these events. Next time you have friends over, why not celebrate National Soup Day or Margarita Day? Can’t find it on the calendar? Even better – you can be the first to proclaim the date!
