Time Saving Tip – How to Cut Multiple Grape Tomatoes
Like grape tomatoes, but don’t like cutting them? Here’s a super easy tip for chopping those little rolly pollies in no time at all. Â Are you ready for this one slice technique… Psst. This works for grapes or pitted olives too.
Cut Multiple Grape Tomatoes At One Time
1. Place tomatoes between 2 lids
Get two small plastic lids (yogurt or sour cream container lids are perfect). They don’t have to match, but they should have fairly shallow lips. Place a handful of grape or cherry tomatoes in one of the lids (lip side up). Cover the tomatoes with a second lid (lip side up or down).
2. Press and Slice
Gently hold top lid down with one hand. Â Using a big, sharp chef’s knife slice between the two lids through the tomatoes. I call this the “bagel cut”. Remove the top lid and feel a ridiculous sense of accomplishment for having shaved at least 1-2 minutes off your meal prep time!
