What to Do with Left Over Wine

freezing wine

Some of you may be alarmed or confused by the title of this post – “left-over wine??”.

Once in a while, there may be an occasion where you simply cannot or do not want to finish an entire bottle (box) of wine (red or white). Rather than let it sit for days,  consider freezing the remainder in ice cube trays.

Once they’re sufficiently frozen, remove the frozen wine cubes and continue to store them in a plastic bag or container.

That way the next time you come across a recipe that calls for a bit of wine to add acidity, body or flavor, you’re set to go.

You certainly wouldn’t want to open a new bottle of wine just for a splash of wine.  Or would you?!
